The executives and members of the Rotary Club of Mushin Golden in conjunction with Rotary Club of Lagos Island District 9110, yesterday, 6th of June 2020, shared palliatives worth millions of naira to indigenes of Mushin and its environs.
Distributing the palliatives to families in Mushin, the President, Rotary Club of Mushin Golden, Rotarian Abiola-Ishola Olasunmayo; urged the receiving public to appreciate and manage whatever is made available to them as they know that rotary is just there for the service of humanity.
According to the President, this is the fourth sharing of palliatives to people since the covid-19 lockdown and “that is why we target 10,000 souls in Mushin area to benefit from this one today and thank God we have made progress as you can see.
He also urged the beneficiaries to be appreciative because “it is not easy to take one out of two that you have and give out. People should also understand that rotary club is not funded by government or politicians or what have you, but voluntary donations by Rotarians, friends of rotary and coperate bodies”.
Olasunmayo asked that “people should emulate what we are doing because nobody is rich and nobody is poor, as well as joining the activities of the rotary to serve humanity by becoming a rotary club member.”
Items distributed at the sensitization and covid-19 palliative support were food items, hand sanitizers, antiseptic soaps and face masks.
