The LACVIS SAFETY AMBASSADOR (LSA) is an advocacy project by LACVIS to instill in motorists to embrace a high maintenance culture of their vehicles by taking their vehicles voluntarily to any of its centres in Lagos State for regular inspection and certification These ambassadors were instituted to promote safety especially on the roads. The LSA were strictly appointed and decorated in the presence of the commissioner for Transport, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Director of the Vehicle Inspector Service (DVIS) and the Management of LACVIS Nigeria Limited These Ambassadors were chosen from all sectors to utilize this platform, to direct attention to Computerized Vehicle Inspection. With this scheme by LACVIS, the rates of accidents on the roads are certainly reduced.
The new ambassadors are the Lagos State Chairman, Nigeria Automobile Technicians, Jacob Fayeun; Chairman, Motor and Technician Association of Nigeria, Marufu Arowolo; Chief Executive of Towdah Limited, Patrick Adenusi; a transport journalist (print), Adeyinka Aderibigbe; another transport journalist (broadcast), Adebowale Yusuf (aka lya Shawama); Executive Mediareach, Yinka Adebayo; and two musicians – Sulaimon Adio (aka Atawewe) and John Asiemo (aka Daddy Showkey).
