Zamfara State Police Command has disclosed that it impounded 101 vehicles for violating movement restriction order.

Briefing journalists, the State Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo, said owners of such vehicles had been arraigned before a special court and sanctioned.

Nagoggo said that although the defaulters have paid for the fine, their vehicles remained confiscated pending the decision of the State government.

The commissioner said all the impounded vehicles were fumigated to ensure they were properly disinfected.

The commissioner announced that the state government had enforced a curfew in the state from 8 PM to 6 AM as directed by the Federal Government.

He also announced the immediate closure of the Shinkafi international market, which is highly patronised by the people of Niger Republic.
