Weststar Associates Limited, Authorized General Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, has reiterated its commitment to its authorized dealerships in Nigeria, even as it dismissed as “entirely false” report by Transport Day, that it may severe relationship with some of its dealers following a policy announcement by Mercedes Benz AG, that it plans to reduce its dealerships by 10% worldwide, and up to 20% in the home market, Germany, by 2025, as it targets direct sales.
According to the company, in a letter addressed to Transport Day, by Weststar Associates Limited, it stated that “if you have an unconfirmed report on a policy that is being considered by some markets in Europe, this region is different from the one in which we operate, and which runs different business models. And so, these “speculations” are unfounded and false in their entirety”.
In its official Press Statement, Weststar Associates Limited said “Weststar Associates Limited, Authorized General Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria has been the home of all things Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria for over 15 years.
