The Minister of Niger Delta Development, MNDD, Engr. Abu Bakar Momoh, has assured that under his leadership, the ministry will actively work to improve peace and security in the Niger Delta region, adding that staff welfare will be also be enhanced.
According to the Minister, the effort aims to effectively execute President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives and policies, and ultimately improve the quality of life and welfare for the people of the Niger Delta region.
Momoh made this disclosure to journalists during the welcome ceremony held in his honor on Monday in Abuja, where he also emphasized his dedication to enhancing staff welfare and maintaining a proactive approach to achieving set objectives.
According to him, “I want to guarantee our collaborative effort with relevant stakeholders and government bodies to realize Mr. President’s vision in developing and securing the region, particularly the East-West road project, which holds crucial significance in the region’s development,” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Shuiab Belgore, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Niger Delta Development, pledged unwavering loyalty and dedication among the staff to execute the ministry’s mandate, aligning with the administration’s strategies for the Niger Delta region.
The event was attended by top management staff of the Ministry.
