Africa’s largest automotive aftermarket exhibition will open its doors again on May 14th with more than 250 exhibitors from around the world taking part.
Now in its fourth edition, the West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) https://westafricaautomotive.com/ will see upwards of 4,500 professional visitors attending the three-day trade event. The exhibition and conference, which take place at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, is expanding into three exhibition halls, such has been the growth in interest.
Among the highlights will be a pavilion from China as well as an increased presence of companies from India and Egypt. Exhibitors will also be coming from Pakistan, Malaysia, Bangladesh, UK, Italy, the Middle East, the Americas and many other countries.
The West Africa Automotive Show is the premier event for breaking into the thriving West African Automotive Market, says the show’s organiser, BtoB Events.

Conference Chairman Luqman Mamudu, former Director at the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) and Principal Partner/CEO at Transtech, is finalising the Conference programme taking place on the first two days of the exhibition. “The WAAS 24 conference will highlight strategies for the West Africa automotive industry to grow its components and parts manufacturing,” he says.
On the third day of the show, Automedics Africa will run training sessions on vehicle repair and maintenance.
Spare parts businesses from Asia and Europe accounted for more than half of exhibitors at last year’s event with lubricants & oils, batteries, accessories, wheels & tyres and paints being other sizeable exhibitor categories.
The data from WAAS 2023 also shows that more than 1,500 attendees were importers, dealers or distributors. Auto retailers accounted for more than 700 visitors while representatives from assembly plants and fleet management were other key sectors.
