A Turkish Airlines flight on Tuesday lost a tyre upon landing at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 3:30 AM when the aircraft arrived in Port Harcourt from Instanbul.
The incident reportedly occurred on the runway but the debris was cleared before domestic flight operations began for the day.
Passengers who were supposed to have travelled with the flight were said to have been checked into a hotel pending when the issue would be resolved.
A source within the airline who confirmed the incident described it as a glitch that had since been rectified.
The source said there were no injuries to passengers and no property was damaged during the incident.
Meanwhile, the Accident Investigation Bureau said its investigators had been dispatched to the scene for assessment.
