The Lagos State Coordinator of Special Marshals RS 2.1, Lagos, Segun Akintan, has expressed appreciation to stakeholders for the successfully held training programme for Special Marshals in the state

Speaking during the training, Segun Akintan, said on behalf of his supportive state executives, he wished to express his “unreserved appreciation to God for allowing this New Administration to carry out the just concluded “TRAIN THE TRAINERS” training despite the situations in the country.”

He also appreciated the FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, “for initiating the training which has been judged to be one of the best training so far in terms of organisation, paper presentations, attendance, etc”

SM Akintan, reiterated the need for the participants to take the training seriously.

Also speaking, the Zonal Coordinator, Special Marshals (Lagos and Ogun State), SM Olusola Olojede, in his speech, commended the singular effort of the members of the new state executive of the Special Marshals at RS 2.1 Lagos,  for attending to the yearnings of the Special Marshals in Lagos State at this time.

The Zonal Coordinator, also made it clear to participants that Special Marshals should “take discipline serious because without it you cannot handle others”.

He also appealed to everyone to be proactive in all the activities of the Special Marshals “as we still have a long way to go once safety is concerned.

During an interview session, most of the Special Marshals who were interviewed after the training unanimously confirmed and agreed that the new state executive members are the right pegs in the right holes and must be supported.

The Special Marshals RS2.1, were all delighted with the quality of the Training in terms of the papers delivered, Road Safety Drills and the entertainment of participants.

This year’s ” Train The Trainers” training, was referred to as one of the best Training to be organised by the Special Marshals over the years, which recorded a large turn out of participants as all Unit Coordinators, Deputy  Unit Coordinators,  the  Unit  Secretaries, the  Unit Public  Enlightenment Officers and all state executives were in attendance.

The training was aimed at achieving the FRSC 2021 Corporate Strategic Goal of Improving Personnel Capacity & Competence in Road Safety Management.
