After months of negotiations, Dana Air has finally partnered with NG Eagle to resolve Dana Air passenger refunds, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has revealed.
It would be recalled that Dana Air was suspended from flying by the NCAA in
April this year, to allow for audit, following an incident.
The NCAA recently met with Dana Air and NG Eagle to expedite the resolution for passengers affected by the suspension.
The NCAA stated that NG Eagle will handle refunds and airlift passengers who hold valid tickets, ensuring prompt service, while Dana Air will process cash refund transactions, as per NCAA guidelines.
NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu,
acknowledged the delays and assured passengers that refunds would be resolved swiftly.
“We understand the inconvenience caused, and we are working tirelessly to process Dana Air passenger refunds efficiently,” he said.
NCAA Director General Capt. Chris Najomo met with Dana Air and NG Eagle to discuss solutions for the outstanding refund issues. “NG Eagle will now handle the responsibility of airlifting passengers with tickets, while Dana Air manages cash refunds,” Najomo confirmed.
This partnership ensures that passengers can either fly with NG Eagle or receive refunds, which Dana Air will oversee.
“Passengers wishing to travel can use their tickets on NG Eagle, while Dana Air processes cash refunds in an orderly manner,” the statement from NCAA added.
