The Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Kaduna state Alumni Association (commonly referred to as NMS Ex-Boys) has recognized a retired Assistant Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Commander Ayobami Omiyale (retired), with a Distinguished Ex-Boy award.
He was among the 10 who were given the award at a special event which held at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, Lagos recently.
Making the presentation on behalf of the association, the Special Guest of Honour, General Alexander Ogomudia (a former Chief of Defence Staff), stated that the awardees were selected after a careful review of their meritorious service to the nation.
According to him, the recipients have made the association proud as they have exhibited exemplary conducts in their various fields of endeavours.
Retired ACM Omiyale who was born 60 years ago, attended the Nigerian Military School, Zaria between 1974 and 1979.
thereafter, he attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he obtained the HND in Architecture, and also a PGD in Administration from the International Professional Managers’ Association (IPMA) of London in 2006.
With an International Executive Masters in Business Administration specializing in Strategic Planning and Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management, France, he once commanded the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ede in December 1987.
ACM Omoyale held various high and sensitive positions during his tour of duty at the FRSC, the last being Zonal Commanding Officer RS5HQ Benin (comprising Edo, Delta and Anambra States) from where he retired in October 2020.
Widely travelled across the world, he is married to Angela Obianuju from Anambra State, and they are blessed with four children. His hobbies include-Table-Tennis, Chess, Scrabble, discussing the Scriptures, and meeting people.
