The Association of Professional and Corporate Drivers of Nigeria (APCDN), has been granted partnership/mandate to consult for Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI), on all organized private Sector drivers in Lagos State.
The National Chairman of APCDN Com. Agbor Osim Nzie, told Transport Day that it is a good move in the right direction as it is backed by law that established (LSADRI) and that, all corporate, professional and private sector operators should embrace it, to create standard in the work they do.
According to him, “drivers of all kind would now pass through our association to get LASDRI mandatory annual drivers’ training, as this site (www.apcdn.org) can help for more information and participation”.
Discussing with Cliffsimeon Akalonu in a chat, Com. Agbor said that “the main aim for this move is to make sure that all Organised Private Sector drivers get professional efficiency, keep updated with the present day driving technique, road traffic signs and laws, above all have a unique database specifically for the OPS drivers for security purposes as it is in line with the smart city vision for Lagos State as proposed by the government”.
Presenting the letter of Partnership/Mandate to consult for Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI), signed by the GM, LASDRI, Ogunlade Philip, the Director Training, LASDRI; Alhaja Tiamiyu, who presented the letter on 4th of September, at LASDRI’s conference hall, quoted the letter saying “all Human Resources, Transport Officers and Logistic officers of various kind are hereby implore to give all necessary attention and support to members of Association of Professional and Corporate Drivers of Nigeria (APCDN), in the discharge of their duty, as failure of any company/organization(s) to comply shall attract sanctions in accordance with the law that established the institute”.
