The Nigeria Customs Service, Area 1 Command, Port Harcourt, revealed on Wednesday that it generated N16.1bn in the first quarter of the year.
The Area Controller of the Command, Auwal Mohammed, said this while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt.
Mohammed stated that the figure indicated N2.9bn more than the revenue generated by the Command from January to March 2019, which stood at N13.1bn.
He pointed out that the difference in the revenue was as a result of ensuring that importers were made to pay the correct duty and to follow all the clearance procedures.
