The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), has entered into a strategic partnership with Dangote Refinery aimed at ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply across Nigeria during and after the yuletide season.

National President of PETROAN, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, in a statement, disclosed this development following a high-level business meeting held with Dangote Refinery’s management in Lagos.

Gillis-Harry said the agreement was reached after fruitful deliberations with the Vice President of Dangote Group and Managing Director of Dangote Refinery, Mr. Devakumar Edwin.

In the statement released by PETROAN’s National Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joseph Obele, the association dismissed fears of fuel scarcity and warned against panic buying or the unsafe storage of petroleum products at home.

PETROAN also urged stakeholders in the downstream sector to support NNPC Retail Ltd and Dangote Refinery in sustaining fuel supply across the country.

“The National Headquarters of Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), Abuja, has expressed confidence that the measures put in place by the Association following the commencement of production at the Port Harcourt refinery and fruitful deliberations with the management of Dangote Refinery will definitely avert fuel supply shortages during and after the festive season.

“This was due to the efforts of the PETROAN distribution technical committee in charge of planning and execution of the zero-fuel scarcity strategy. We are happy that Nigerians are going to travel effortlessly during this period of the year.

“The National President of PETROAN, Dr. Billy Gillis Hary, on Monday 2nd December 2024 led the negotiation team of PETROAN to a fruitful strategic business meeting with the management of Dangote Refinery at the complex in Lagos,” he said.
