The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of another six persons in a Road Traffic Crash that occurred on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, along the Ogoja – Ikom segment of the Calabar – Ikom – Katsina-Ala federal highway.

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan said one person was also injured in the accident, reports the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
“We have eight male adults and one female adult in the vehicles. One male adult sustained injury, while those who died were six, consisting of five males and one female,” Mr. Hassan said.
The vehicles involved were a Toyota Sienna vehicle with Registration Number; Rivers AFM 810 NK and a truck typically used in transporting livestock, goods and foodstuffs which Mr. Hassan says has no license plate.
“Both the injured and those who died have been taken to the General Hospital in Ogoja by officers of the FRSC,” Mr. Hassan said.
He further advised motorists to desist from wrongful overtaking and speeding on highways.
Earlier reports indicate that 12 persons were also killed same day in Ebonyi State in another RTC.
This is aside the over 80 persons who perished three weeks ago in other parts of the country.
In a similar development, four persons were also killed in Akure, Ondo State during the week when a vehicle lost control.
