The Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Senator, Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora has rejigged the personnel of the Authority’s Area Offices nationwide for better service delivery, optimum performance and efficiency. The decision was taken at the Management meeting held recently at the Headquarters of NIWA in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Ten Senior Officers were appointed as new Area Managers, four were redeployed to other Area Offices, Seven retained their positions and nine were recalled back to the Headquarters.
Those who made the list of new area managers, area offices are- Tom Shaba Afeso, Warri; Engr. Fidelis Agbahi, Onitsha; Akapo Adewale, Igbokoda; Ogbue Jude, Oguta; Zainab Ali, Lokoja; Idris U. Abubakar, Makurdi; Akintade Akinlabi, Abeokuta; Shaibu Al-Hayatt, Abuja; Ajagbe Peter, Yola; and Abba John Martins, Jalingo.
Redeployed Area Managers to other area offices were; Akubo Boniface, Calabar; Henry Adimoha, Yenagoa; Rufus Ogbolato Port-Harcourt; and Kabir Danjuma, Hadeija Jammare.
Retained Area Managers are Sambo Muazu, Lagos; Sagir Adamu, Eket; Birma Yusuf, Kaduna; Abubakar Wathanafa, Minna; Gonaji Suleiman, Yelwa-Yauri; Dahiru Yimird, Maiduguri; and Bala Bello Mohammed, Sokoto.
Others who were recalled back to Headquarters are as follows; Engr. T. Fiberesima, General Manager Ports; Mrs. Uche Amadi, Ag. General Manager Business Development; Abdullahi Dabai, Headquarters; Engr. Daniel Ogbe, Headquarters; Mr. Raymon Olekwara, Headquarters; Engr. Dakio Horsefall, Headquarters; Dalhatu Isa, Headquarters; Danladi Umar, Headquarters; Danladi Bisalla, Headquarters; and Engr. Samuel T. Gadzama, Ag. General Manager Special Duties & Project Management.
The Managing Director said the new posting is an attempt not only to put the round pegs in the round holes, but the officers were carefully selected to enhance the operational efficiency of the Authority and also strengthen the revenue drive and provide better service delivery to all the relevant stakeholders nationwide. The appointments are with immediate effect.
