He noted that aside offering a wide range of programmes leading to the award of Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s degree, the Institute also “do a lot of research activities to identify problems and their solutions as they affect the operation and performance of transport and logistics industry across the country.”

The DG/CE assured Lt Col. Anthony that NITT was prepared to partner with his Command within the ambit of the resources at its disposal.

Speaking earlier, Lt Col. Anthony said that he took a cue from his predecessors to acquaint himself with the organisations within his Command. He also pledged to maintain the cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between his Command and NITT.

Reacting to the Director, Training Department (NITT), Dr. Danjuma Ismailia’s admonition to “make use of modern technology such as drones to complement your efforts in securing the environment”, Lt Col Anthony acknowledged the importance of deploying such technologies in combating crime and criminality. “The use of modern technology in enhancing security is very apt. In fact, I am already looking in that direction”, he said. He thanked the Institute for the warm welcome and useful advice.
