…Founded by Raju Sawlani with 21 years Nigeria Auto experience over 30 auto brands It was excitement recently with the opening of Turing Simcubator Limited, better known as TSL, as the largest multi-brand auto workshop in the country offering 30% discount on service and repairs from October 19th to October 31st. The workshop situated in the middle of town, on the prominent Mile 2-Oshodi Expressway, Lagos, starts operations on Thursday, October 19th, 2017. Besides the discount, TSL says all Corporates who register their fleet with the company between October 19th and October 31st will receive special pricing. The workshop is coming with 36 working bays out of which three will be for trucks. It also has an ultra-modern body shop. According to TSL, “the hi-tech auto company can service and repair all passenger and commercial automotive brands-from Ferrari to Toyota-and post the promotion date, TSL will price match any reputed workshop in Lagos that has at least 18 service bays”. The company is also deploying four mobile workshops. “TSL will also engage in the sale of new and used vehicles. They will provide Gold Certification and Peace-of-Mind Warranty on used vehicles, as well as 24/7 roadside assistance.” Perhaps the most interesting side of TSL is its human resources, as the founder, Mr. Raju Sawlani, is a well-known name in the Nigerian and West African auto industry. A veteran in the Nigerian Auto Industry, he is the former MD of Stallion Motors and the former ED of Coscharis Motors and Kewalram Chanrai Group. Being at helm of these top auto companies, he gained exposure to over 30 automotive brands. Mr. Raju has over 21 years of experience in the Nigerian Auto Industry. He has set up numerous automotive showrooms (including the Porsche Showroom), several workshops and a few assembly plants, following the introduction of the National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) by the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), which is the federal government agency saddled with the responsibility of developing the Nigerian auto industry. He was the first to implement breakthrough service campaigns in Nigeria like the 4yrs/100,000km free service campaign. In 2015, he was awarded the OnWheels Leadership Award for his outstanding vision, dedication and commitment to the Nigerian Auto Industry. Speaking at the TSL Headquarters, Mr. Raju said, “having sold over 200,000 vehicles (value: USD$7.2 billion) in Nigeria over a 21-year period, my customers have voiced their concern to me about after-sales issues. For this reason, I decided to launch TSL. “I handpicked the best technical personnel in the Nigerian Auto Industry-these are highly experienced individuals who I have observed over a 21-year period. In addition, our machinery and equipment are from the top manufacturers in the world. We will prove to the world that supercars do not need to be flown out of Nigeria for service and repairs. Nigerians are highly talented and capable people.” He added, “The main parameters that define repair quality are: quality of workmanship, genuineness of spare parts, lubricants and fluid used, and the overall customer experience, which includes a reasonable price and the least amount of downtime.” Stressing that TSL will provide only genuine lubricants, fluids and parts, he added that “the downtime and stress caused by fake and substandard motor oil and motor parts drain billions of naira from the economy. Customers have lost confidence in most high-and low-end workshops. Another issue is the used vehicles being purchased from sellers of no repute. We are already taking appointments for next week to assist customers who were duped into purchasing flood-damaged vehicles from the United States”. Revealing that customers can view the repair/service process of their vehicles from the comfort of their offices or homes via close circuit cameras, Mr. Raju explained that “TSL is here to bring back customer confidence in the auto market – from sales to after-sales, whether used or new vehicles. In addition, the company will provide a safe haven for used car sales. “If you wish to purchase a used vehicle in Lagos, but don’t know whether to buy it because of high mileage, I suggest you book an appointment with us and liaise with the seller to bring the vehicle to our workshop. We will do a complete check on the vehicle in front of the seller and the buyer, thereby creating a transparent automotive marketplace. We can provide the buyer with a Peace-of-Mind Warranty”. Mr. Raju who is highly connected in the local auto industry and trusted by numerous corporate organisations, says “TSL’s highly-experienced technical manpower will be the highest paid in the Nigerian Auto Industry with perks that will set a benchmark in the sector. “With the amount of sales and after-sales transactions set to take place at TSL, the company has promised to share marketing data with motoring journalists and the Nigerian Government to help improve automotive regulations. TSL will also assist the government in creating a level-playing field in the auto industry, which will take the Nigerian auto market to a global level”. Beyond Lagos TSL is geared towards opening shops in Abuja and Port Harcourt by early next year. Industry watchers have observed that TSL is bound to make a difference in the after-sales auto market, as motorists yawn for service delivery via modern equipment by well trained technicians being supervised by an experienced hand who knowns the industry, which is what TSL represents.]]>
