She is the Event Manager of Multimodal West Africa. She talks about the Multimodal West Africa event coming up in January 2018 in Lagos Can you please provide a brief summary of your organisation, while highlighting your experience as the Event Manager for Multimodal West Africa? Clarion Events West Africa (CEWA) is a division of Clarion Events Limited, established since 1947 responsible for producing and delivering 180 innovative and market-leading exhibitions a year, organised from 13 global offices by 800 staff. We match International expertise in exhibition organisation and the robust local knowledge of the Nigerian economy by the Nigerian staff to create Nigeria’s top exhibition organiser We are well aware that this is the second edition of MMWA, can you please share what the experience was like especially for the participants of the show? The maiden edition of Multimodal West Africa which held earlier this year in March rejuvenated the transport and logistics sector in Nigeria. It created opportunities for discourse across the entire value chain of the sector. It also provided solutions for cargo owners and businesses for service providers across the entire chain. What do you think this show means for the transportation and logistics industry? For us in Clarion Events West Africa, the Multimodal West Africa Exhibition and Conference has been designed and targeted to engage all major stakeholders in the industry from across all the sub-sectors and the value-chain under one roof with a view to help review the sector and proffer lasting solution to the various challenges in the sector. We are providing a platform for players in both public and private sectors to exchange notes and ideas and design solutions that will be mutually beneficial and help move the sector forward and ultimately impact positively in Nigeria’s quest for sustainable transport and logistics sector. Besides, the exhibition will also provide opportunity to assess international best practice in the sector with international players in the industry who are eager to play in the Nigerian market coming in from abroad. Not only that, it is a platform for the buyer-meet-seller arrangement where cargo owners and service providers along the entire value chain in the industry meet to discuss unlimited business opportunities. So, while the exhibition will provide exposure for services available, the C-Level Conference will offer solutions to the challenges for all stakeholders. What should exhibitors, visitors and other key stakeholders expect from their participation in the forthcoming Multimodal West Africa 2018? As I explained earlier, Multimodal West Africa holding from 23 -25 January 2018 will rejuvenate the transport and logistics sector in Nigeria. It will create opportunities for discourse across the entire value chain of the sector. It will provide solutions for cargo owners and it would provide businesses for service providers across the entire chain. Since it is holding in January, we promise exhibitors enough businesses to last them for the whole of 2017 and beyond. For cargo owners, we aim to provide an easier avenue for the movement of their goods locally and internationally. 2018 will definitely be a better year in that sector as we hope to make our impact known. ]]>
