ThePresidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, has engaged the Motor Mechanics And Technicians Association Of Nigeria (MOMTAN) and other stakeholders in a town hall meeting held at conference hall, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEDAN) headquarters in Abuja, dishing out the needs to domesticate and have deeper understanding of the new tax reforms.
The conference was tagged “Understanding The Tax Reform Bills: The Benefits And How To Maximize From The New Tax System”.
During the conference, the National President of MOMTAN Alhaji Morufu Adebayo Arowolo, assured the conveners of his members support and cooperation based on the information and accruable benefits of the reforms.
The MOMTAN President said that he is optimistic that the new tax reforms will reduce burden on masses, ensure equitable distribution of wealth and resources, transparency, increased productivity and increased revenue will have consequential effects on infrastructural facilities in the country.
He stressed that his members are law abiding citizens and would cooperate as responsible citizens because it is part of their civic responsibilities.
The Director General SMEDAN, Mr. Charles Odii, painstakingly and comprehensively analysed the positive effects of supporting the implementation of the new tax reform bills by various small and medium enterprises.
Many dignitaries and associations attended the meeting which includes market men and women, representatives of MAN and NECA, artists, farmers representatives of hospitality industry among others.
