The Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria (ALBON), the Owners/Operators of Long Distance Mass Transit Inter-State Bus Service have formally advised the travelling masses that the Association members have commenced fully implementation of the 50% bus fare reduction approved by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for all traveling masses on the underlisted routes being operated by its members during the festive period from Thursday, December 21, 2023 to January 4, 2024.
According to a Press Statement signed by the President and Hon. Secretary of the association,
Mr. Nonso Ubajaka and Mr. Frank Nneji (OON) respectively, “All passengers travelling during this festive period are enjoined to take advantage of this magnanimous gesture of Mr President to alleviate their transportation cost to their various destinations during this festive period.
“The various routes and no of buses allocated/covered by our members during the period on daily basis are as follows:
“All our members’ companies are involved in this exercise. They include among others:
- Young Shall Grow Nig Ltd, 2. Chisco Transport Ltd, 3. Izuchukwu Transport Nig. Ltd, 4. ABC Transport Plc, 5. God Bless Ezewanta Nig. Ltd, 6. SD Express Ltd, 7.Welfare Transport Nig. Ltd. 8. Ifesinachi Transport Nig. Ltd, 9, E Ekeson Nig. Ltd., 10. Ifeanyi Chukwu Industries & commercial Ltd, 11. Bonnyway Motor Ltd., Delta Express Ltd, including God Is Good Motors Ltd.
“Above operators are providing 11,118 seats per day for the duration of the exercise.
“All intending passengers on the above listed are requested to go to our members various bus stations nationwide to book and board our buses on payment of only 50% (half the price) of the prevailing or current bus fare during the period on the principle of “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS” on the daily basis during the period.”
Commending the Federal Government, the association said “Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria once again commends and salutes the Federal Government of Nigeria under the listening and responsive leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for this great package for the traveling masses.
“We also thank the Hon. Minister of Transportation Senator Ahmed Saad Alkali for his unrelenting efforts in ensuring that Mr. President magnanimous gesture for the traveling masses during this festive period is fully implemented.
“This indeed is the dawn of the RENEWED HOPE for us in the Luxury Bus industry and our numerous passengers nationwide.”
