The General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Olajide Oduyoye has distanced the Authority from an online public survey form currently in circulation where respondents who have had any issue of being extorted by LASTMA officials were advised to respond.

Oduyoye categorically denied the issuance of the survey form with this link http://bit.ly/LASTMAPublicSurveyForm which was designed with LASTMA logo. He explained that the source of the survey form remains largely untraced and faceless and therefore may be from fraudsters, who may want to take advantage of members of the public and the general road users.

According to a statement made available to Transport Day by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs of LASTMA, Mr. Filade Olumide, the GM “advised the public to be wary of this link and try to verify any such link which they may come across from time to time before acting on such, in order not to run into the trap of fraudulent elements who would not engage their time meaningfully and positively.

“Oduyoye also advised the faceless publishers of the online survey form to engage themselves in productive ventures rather than wasting their time and energy on negative activities that damage the image of the government and its agencies”.
