The Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Service is set to embark on a state-wide sensitisation exercise of commercial drivers and other road users in the state.
According to a statement published by the agency, the exercise will address more of truck/tanker drivers’ education, basic training on road traffic rules, safety measures and precautions, the negative effect of overloading and speed limitation.
It will also address the menace of truck drivers in the state and bring sanity to all the roads in Lagos, the statement said.

The Director of the agency, Akin Fashola, remarked that the programme would be anchored by road vehicle and safety experts.
He stated that the aim of commencing the sensitisation programme was to create awareness and put drivers in the right frame of mind.
