As part of the efforts of Lagos State Government in battling flood in Somolu as the raining season approaches, dredging of drainages and canal systems in Lagos State has commenced.
The dredging of the System 2 Canal in Somolu has started, as an excavator commenced work from the Apata axis of the canal, cleaning the debris-filled water channel towards Shodimu-Bankole Bridge, Anifowoshe street axis.
However, the Executive Chairman of Somolu, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu has urged residents of Somolu, CDA, CDCs and vehicles owners should cooperate with the workers to enable them to deliver promptly and safely for the benefit of the Somolu people.
