In continuation of the ongoing Blue Line Rail Project, the Lagos State Government has diverted traffic on outer Marina road from today, Monday 22nd November, 2021.
In a statement by the Ministry of Transportation, the Commissioner, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde revealed that a beam would be launched on the outer Marina road after the descent from Apongbon Bridge which is the reason for the diversion.
He advised Motorists to utilize Third Mainland Bridge or Oyingbo/Iddo route to connect Carter Bridge and link Leventis to access their desired destinations, adding that a lane will be made available for vehicular movement from Apongbon Bridge
In addition, Oladeinde stated that Motorists from Eko Bridge would be able to use Leventis inwards outer Marina road to continue their journey, stressing the need for Motorists to cooperate with the State’s Traffic Management Personnel that would be deployed to the axis during the diversion.
While thanking Lagosians for their perseverance in view of the various constructions ongoing in different parts of the metropolis, the Transport Commissioner assured that the efforts being made will ensure the Blue line project is completed in record time to create options of mobility for the citizenry.
