The Katsina State Police Command on Sunday disclosed that the Joint Security Forces have impounded 159 vehicles, 17 tricycles and 106 motorcycles.
The Spokesman for the Command, SP Gambo Isah, revealed this in a statement.
He also revealed that the mobile courts established to try violators of the lockdown had tried 155 vehicle owners, 17 tricyclists and 106 motorcyclists.

According to him, the violators were sentenced to various fines with or without community services, ranging from N3,000 to N10,000.
The statement read in part, “In the light of the foregoing, the command enjoins the people of the state to strictly comply with the provisions of the Quarantine and Restriction of Movement Regulations as it is in the best interest of the state.”
