The House of Representatives has directed the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to include the certification of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in the 2021 Appropriation Bill.
At the plenary on Tuesday, the House adopted a motion moved by a member from Kano State, Mr Haruna Dederi, titled ‘Urgent need to speed up the certification of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport to world-class standard’.

Adopting the motion, the House urged FAAN and the NCAA to speed up the certificate of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
It asked the two organisations to include the certification in the 2021 budget estimates.
The House further mandated its Committee on Aviation to liaise with the FAAN, NCAA and other relevant agencies and ensure implementation of the resolution.
