The company produces a range of electric vehicles for both passenger and utility applications.

The Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, while presenting the Nigerian made 14 seater E-Buses at the NADDC headquarters in Abuja on Monday 10th July 2023, expressed his satisfaction over the full support from the Council as a long standing committed partner, adding that the approval of the JET Motors EVs and charging infrastructure by the Council has opened a new chapter of possibilities for the company.

He further added that, “Beyond embracing the current realities of the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration, e-mobility appears to be the future, being an innovation that is positively disrupting the traditional mode of powering mobility.

Having test-run one of the e-vehicles and observing the functionality of the technology, the Director-General, NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, while receiving the EVs, noted that e-mobility is an unparalleled transportation solution for Nigeria and Africa.

He emphasised the Council’s commitment to giving its full support for the mass production of Electric Vehicles in Nigeria.

The DG reiterated that the NADDC will continue to support Jet Motors Company and relevant stakeholders with applicable fiscal and non fiscal incentives so as to continue to successfully build more of these E-Vehicles, positioning Nigeria on a platform to fully capitalize on the upportunities of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

He also informed the gathering that the motivation is to make life easy for Nigerians in a cost-effective manner – to ease the challenges occasioned by high cost of Prime Motor Spirit (PMS)/Diesel.

He added, “Nigeria has no other option other than to continue on this trajectory, we must adopt e-mobility on a massive scale and run with it”.
