The Nigeria Immigration Service stopped two Indian nationals from leaving the country over visa violations.
The culprits were intercepted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, during the evacuation of 446 Indian nationals on Saturday.
The foreigners were repatriated to their country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Lagos Airport Comptroller of the NIS, Abdullahi Usman, said the two Indians entered Nigeria through the land border and failed to present their visa on arrival for the approval of Immigration personnel at the border.

Usman further disclosed that the men had been in Cotonou, Benin Republic, for a month as they had the stamp of that country dated February 9, 2020, when they entered Nigeria.
A statement on Sunday by the NIS spokesman, DCI Sunday James said, “The Indian nationals, aged 32 and 29, will be prosecuted according to the Nigeria Immigration laws as a deterrence to others.”
There has been a number of evacuation flights to India from Nigeria. Two weeks ago an evacuation flight from Nigeria to India have left with no fewer than 312 Indians.
It was gathered that the evacuees were conveyed from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and the Port Harcourt International Airport on Thursday.
The High Commission of India in Abuja confirmed this in a tweet, noting that the flight was operated by a Nigerian airline, Air Peace.
