The Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Sharon Ikeazor (Esq.) has stated that she would bring the experiences she garnered in the course of her service to the nation from various establishments to bear in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
This was contained in a statement made available to Transport Day in Abuja. The Minister of State, who was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment, stated this while being received in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs in Abuja .
According to her, “My coming to Niger Delta is like home coming, when we talk about environmental degradation, community development; it is the Niger Delta region, the experience I had in the Ministry of Environment, I’ll bring into the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs”.
She expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity granted her to head the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, adding that the job was most fulfilling as she was able to impact lives of the senior citizens
“I was assigned to another Ministry that their work impact on the lives of the whole Nigeria, the whole world, the environment we depend on, the air we breathe, food we eat…that was another fulfilling work”, she added.
Ikeazor further pledged her unflinching support to actualizing the mandate and vision of the Ministry for the good of Nigerians and the Niger Deltans within the short period in office.
“We will all serve at the pleasure of Mr. President, anywhere I work, I made sure I deliver on the legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari”, she stated.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, MNDA, Engr. Olufunso Olusesan Adebiyi FNSE assured her of the commitment of staff of the Ministry towards their duties and fulfilment of its mandate, “we are going to give you all humanly support to make sure you succeed…I want to assure you of our loyalty and high sense of commitment to duty”.
He maintained that the Ministry would make a remarkable change in the region within the short period in the office.
