Green Africa, a start-up value airline, based in Lagos is set to commence flight operations with ATR 72-600 planes.
A statement signed by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Babawande Afolabi, on Thursday said the airline deferred 50 of its A220-300 planes and will now move ahead with the ATR 72-600.
The CEO said the airline planned to deploy up to 15 aircraft across Nigeria by December 2022 and open two to three additional airport bases within the country over the next 12-18 months.
According to Afolabi, the direction will help the company service and scale in a COVID-19 environment.
