The Coronavirus outbreak caused the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show. It was cancelled after the Swiss government banned gatherings of more than 1,000 people.
“We regret to announce the 2020 Geneva motor show will be cancelled. This is force majeure, circumstances over which we have no control,” Maurice Turrettini, chairman of the show’s board of trustees, said at a news conference on Friday.
But the concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak has only denied the new cars enthusiasts the physical assessment of the latest hi-tech automobiles. Pictures of many new supercars and concepts already arranged for unveiling at the event have surfaced online.
Some of these new cars and concepts for display at the event in Switzerland can now be found in the Virtual Geneva Motor Show Gallery.
Many auto reviewers who have seen the list of vehicles says it is a combination of over-the-top supercars and forward-thinking electric vehicles.
Autoblog.com says, “Even without a show, these cars stood out.”
Top on the list are Hyundai Prophesy, Aston Martin V12 Speedster, Volkswagen ID.4, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio GTA and Koenigsegg Gemera.
