Amidst the war of words between two Nigerian celebrities, Grammy Award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy; and a popular socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, the musician as dared Cubana Chief Priest to service his array of luxury cars in Coscharis Motors Workshop.
The Cubana Chief Priest is said to be owner of choice luxury vehicles and Coscharis Motors is the authorised local distributor and service provider for such luxury vehicles like Range Rover, Jaguar Rolls Royce among others.
It is believed that many owners of some of these luxury vehicles stay away from servicing their vehicles in authorised workshops because during servicing, the vehicles are subjected to scanning linked to parent company, hence, can easily be detected if they were stolen and shipped to Nigeria and sold.
Only two months ago, while revealing that the 21 cars worth N1.8b stolen in Canada, were recovered in Nigeria, the Nigeria Customs Service stated that West Africa has emerged as a notable destination hub in the global stolen vehicles trade network.
The service added that the network extends from Europe and North America to as far as South America and Australia.
The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed in Lagos while displaying some seized vehicles to journalists.
He added that in the last few months, the service has intensified its tracking operations against vehicle trafficking syndicates operating within the borders.
“According to INTERPOL reports, West Africa has emerged as a notable destination hub in the global stolen vehicle trade network, which extends from Europe and North America as far as South America and Australia,” he said.
Burna Boy, while throwing verbal blows on social media at Cubana Chief Priest said
“Go to Coscharis and service any of your stolen cars; abeg I wan see something. Rooozaaay Igbo voice. Make I relax actually, I no want make you go jail.”
Apparently not fazed by Burna’s riposte, CP dared him to come out with his fleet of cars to know who was way bigger and richer.
The “drama” according to Punch report, started when Burna Boy took to Instagram to describe Chief Priest as the Owerri version of Rick Ross— a plus-sized American rapper.
Burna had posted another message on Instagram implying that pop star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, was living fake life, while “advising” him to desist from doing so in 2025.
Describing Chief Priest as “azaman” a street slang for fraudster, Burna wrote, “No forget say you be Azaman o And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na Omo Igbo for ATL and na u be next #OWerriRickyrozay.”
Not backing down, Chief Priest fired his own salvo, implying that Burna Boy won the Grammy Award by being intimate with embattled American entertainer, P Diddy. He wrote, “Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. You never see anything, you and your bend down collect Grammy.”
Going further, Chief Priest recounted how he paid Burna N1m in 2018 to perform as a “backup singer” at his birthday party. He wrote, “Owerri Rick Ross, what a blessing! See where dem dey rate me put. Me & Rosay #CpNosmall.”
He continued, “2018 na 1m naira I pay you to perform as back up artist for my birthday. I get pictures and videos where you dey perform for me. I go lie for you?”
Buttressing his claims, the “celebrity barman” posted videos and pictures from the event. In one of the videos, Burna could be heard referring to Chief Priest as “egede”, a street slang for a particular cult group, and asking for a slice of cake from Cubana.
Not relenting in his attacks, Chief Priest also wrote, “We don dey chop this money before you meet us for queue. Be humble small boy.”
Maintaining that he had been waiting for a long time for this moment to come, Chief Priest alleged that Burna was a debtor.
He posted, “The Ferrari’s. The London jewelers debt. I’m coming. I have long waited for this moment. Osubrileeee oooo.”
Responding to the allegation, Burna insisted that he always paid in full for his properties. He wrote, “You don score yourself. Everybody in Lagos knows my style. All my s**t paid for, sometimes cash sef. If not, I for dey all the blogs by now for owing debts like your boss.
Meanwhile, in another viral post, the Grammy winner posted a video of a man who claimed to be CP’s brother saying that he worked as a phone repairer. He pledge to give the alleged brother $30,000 if his followers could find him.
Continuing the “giveaway spree” CP stated that he would give millions of naira to a fan that was kicked by Burna Boy during his performance at a recent show.
As at the time of filing this report, videos surfaced online showing that Burna Boy has redeemed his pledged of 30,000 USD to the phone repairer brother of Cubana Chief Priest.
