The Delta State Government has revealed that VIPs, political aides and all other forms of escorts, who do not intend to fly, will not be allowed into the Asaba airport departure lounge as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Special Project Director of Asaba International Airport, Mr Austin Ayemidejor, who disclosed this on Wednesday in Asaba, stated that the airport would resume full commercial activities this week.

Ayemidejor further disclosed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority had inspected and approved the state of the airport vis-a-vis the new operational COVID-19 guideline.

He said, “As at today, we have fully complied with the guidelines put forward and NCAA officials, after inspection, are fully satisfied with the protocols we have put in place.
