The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has appointmented a Nigerian maritime lawyer, Jean Anishere SAN, to the International Court of Arbitration.
This was disclosed by
Anishere via a statement she issued in Lagos on Tuesday.
Anishere said that the newly constituted leadership of the ICC was announced on Monday (July 1).
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria also applauded re-election of Mr Claudia Salomon as the President of ICC International Court of Arbitration.
She also congratulated new and returning members of the court.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Anishere wrote five volumes of Essays in Admiralty, a comprehensive collection of essays and papers that focused on maritime law and published by Petrospot UK.
She is the Editor-In-Chief of Admiralty Law Reports of Nigeria, Volumes 1-32 (a compendium of judgments on admiralty matters in Nigeria.
Anishere is a past President of Women in Shipping and Trade Association and a past President of African Women in Maritime Organization as well as a past Continental President of WIMAfrica.
