The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has reiterated that his mandate of making Lagos free of traffic gridlock is unstoppable. He made this declaration recently at the Commissioning of Ketu multiple layby and slip Road newly constructed by His Administration. 

Speaking further, the Governor stated that the project which also includes the construction of service road and roof cladding of local market was delivered in continuation of the Transportation reform set at making Lagos Road network from Mile 12 to Alapere Ogudu and Ketu free of traffic with the ultimate aim of 45 minutes drive from Ikorodu to CMS. 

The Governor disclosed that a bigger and similar project is already in the pipeline for the opposite side of the newly commissioned Ketu Layby, this he said will further make Ikorodu axis free of traffic gridlock completely. 

Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Commissioner for Transportation, Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi stated that the newly opened laybys and slip road will reduce travel time. He further appealed to commuters and motorist not to turn the project to garage as the present Administration has dedicated considerable resources to the provision of such basic infrastructure for the benefit of Lagosians. 

In his goodwill message the deputy Leader East Senatorial, Chief Steven Adeola Oyedele appreciated the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for bringing many of such beautiful projects to their domain.
