President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recalled all Nigerian ambassadors from their duty posts worldwide.
This directive was announced by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Saturday.
Ngelale said the recall was effective immediately.
He said the decision was sequel to a careful study of the present state of affairs at Nigerian consulate offices and embassies worldwide.
According to him, President Tinubu is determined to ensure that world-class efficiency and quality, will henceforth, characterise foreign and domestic service delivery to citizens, residents and prospective visitors alike.
He also added that Tinubu has further directed that Nigeria’s United Nations Permanent Representatives in New York and Geneva be exempted, in view of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, which will be held later this month.
