Domestic airline, Aero Contractors, plans to begin the maintenance of aircraft registered in some West African countries at its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
The airline has already been provided authorization for C-checks on Ghanaian registered aircraft by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.
The Chief Executive Officer, Aero Contractors, Capt. Ado Sanusi, who revealed this on Thursday, also mentioned that the airline and the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Central Africa, were at the completing phases of talks for maintenance of aircraft registered in that country.
He said the management of Aero planned to maintain aircraft for most West African countries by means of its MRO and had commenced discourses with the governments of Niger and Cameroon.
Sanusi said, “We have the approval to conduct C-checks on Ghanaian registered airplanes, as far as they have it registered with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and within our sphere, we will maintain them. They have given us the approval to do base maintenance of their airplanes.
