President Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate appointment of Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu as the new Rector/Chief Executive of the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT).

The management and staff of NCAT have welcomed the appointment with joy, as it is seen as a homecoming and welcomed with enthusiasm by the college community.

Meanwhile, the appointment of the new NCAT Rector has been met with enthusiasm across the aviation sector.

A statement from Director Information, Dr Jude Amadi, stated that “the Ag Rector, Mr Joseph Imalighwe, and the entire staff of NCAT receive with gratitude Mr President’s appointment of Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu PhD as the substantive Rector/Chief Executive of NCAT.”

The rich profile of Dr Adamu underscores President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to appointing qualified professionals to key positions.

Dr Ismaila Danjuma Adamu is a seasoned academician and administrator. He holds a B.Sc and MBA from Ahmadu Bello University and a PhD from the University of Huddersfield, UK, with a thesis on “The Impact of International Air Transport Liberalization: The Case for Nigeria.”

His pursuit of aviation knowledge led him to attend various aviation conferences, seminars, and courses, including Air Transport Marketing at Westminster, ICAO Trainair Plus Competency Course in Kenya, and ICAO Basic AVSEC Course in Bahrain. Before this appointment, he was an Aviation Management Resource Person at NCAT.
