As part of the federal government palliative to cushion the effect of the petroleum subsidy removal to the bearest minimum on the people, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says it has plans to soon introduce Apapa-Kajola Express train.
According to a statement released by the Deputy Director, Public Relations of the NRC, Yakub Mahmood, the service is Code-Named Apapa express between Apapa in Lagos State and Kajola in Ogun State, on the Standard Gauge Railway Line.
The Statement disclosed that the information was given by Director of Operations of the Corporation, Mr Akin Osinowo on behalf of the Managing Director Engr. Fidet Okhiria.
According to him, the stopping stations for the Apapa express Train include-Mobolaji Johnson, Agege, Agbado and finally, Kajola.
He further said this train service will reduce the hardship experienced by commuters especially those plying Apapa to Kajola route.
Osinowo appealed to valued passengers to ensure that they obtain tickets at the designated stations before boarding the train.
