The Imo State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Comrade Izuchukwu Okebaram, has wished members of the Union, Imolites and Nigerians who would be traveling by road this yuletide the best of Christmas and safest journey this season. In his Christmas message in Owerri the State Capital, the NURTW boss said the union deeply appreciated the contributions of all stakeholders, union members, Imolites and indeed, the public to the successes and achievements his administration recorded this outgoing year and urged them to continue to be partners in progress with NURTW. He called on drivers both public and private and indeed, all road users in the state to drive carefully and respect the right of other road users this busy period to make the Christmas accident free. According to him, “it is only when each and every Imolite and indeed, every other road user traveling for Christmas celebration reaches his destination, celebrates with loved ones and return to their bases hale and hearty to resume their jobs and businesses that we can truly say Christmas was merry and the new year prosperous”. Comrade Okebaram assured Imolites of the readiness and willingness of his administration to continue working round the clock to ensure that the state parks and roads are always safe and secured at all times in the interest of the traveling public and security of life and property in the State.]]>
