The viral Nigerian adventurer- Kunle Adeyanju, who is currently on a 25-day bike ride from London to Lagos has revealed plans to sell his 2-wheeler when he finally concludes his 12,000-km long journey.

He made this announcement in a tweet after arriving in Mali. According to Kunle, the money from the sale of his Honda CB500X motorbike will also go to charity.

Kunle’s Honda CB500X comes with 47 Horsepower, 471cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, that allows the bike to reach a top speed of 111.8 mph (180 km per hour).

It has a 17.5-litre fuel tank capacity that allows a 27.8 km ride per litre or a range of about 486-kilometres, depending on the riding style and weather conditions.

Adeyanju began his cross-country ride on the 19th of April, 2022 to raise money for charity, which he said will be channelled to Primary Health, Water & Sanitation, PolioPlus project.

Unlike his unpleasant experience, while touring through Mauritania, Kunle plans to spend more time in Mali because of their hospitality.

“I actually chose to extend my stay in Mali because the hospitality has been an ATOMIC BOMB!

Great people….. Good country ….. I LOVE MALI!”

Mali, a landlocked country in West Africa is one of sixteen routes he planned to take during his 12,000-km journey.

“The ride will traverse London – France – Spain – Gibraltar – Morocco – Western Sahara – Mauritania – St Louis – Senegal – Gambia – Mali – Cote d’Ivoire – Ghana – Togo – Benin – Lagos.”
