The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) have donated 16 security operation vehicles to the Lagos State Government.
The security vehicles are aimed at enhancing policing and facilitate quick response to distress calls.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund on Wednesday at the State House, Marina, said the donation was a fulfilment of the promise SNEPCo made to the LSSTF during a dinner organised by the state government to seek support from the private sector.
“They are doing this because we as a government have shown consistent transparency in how we deal with them,” he added.
