The 10 Nigeria Transport Lecture holds on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. This year’s Theme, which is-‘Transportation Safety in Nigeria: The Way Forward’, is meant to discuss issues about Transport Safety and Investigation as it relates to the Nigerian environment.

The first edition of the Nigeria Transport Lecture was held in 2013 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Thereafter, eight other editions have been held. The last edition was held at the Shehu Musa Yar Adua Centre, Abuja.

Some Lead Paper Presenters in the past editions include former Lagos State Commissioner of Transportation, Dr. Dayo Mobereola- 1st Edition, 2013; Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside – 5th Edition, 2018; and former Federal Permanent Secretary, Ambassador (Dr.) Anthonia Ekpa, 9 Edition, 2022.

The annual event usually features industry participants cutting across different modes of transportation from both the public and private sectors.
